Owning a small business is hard. For a million reasons. It’s also one of the most rewarding things to do. Unfortunately there isn’t a “how to do it” manual. If you bought a franchise, you might have a good start. If you went to business school, you too might be feeling comfortable.
I’ll tell you from experience…nothing can completely prepare you for being a small business owner.
There are places to go for help. Questions you might have. In your community even. Places like your Chamber of Commerce. But you won’t get specific, actionable help unless you hire a coach.
When should you think about hiring a coach??? Here are a few:
Stagnant Growth: If your business growth seems to be stuck and not going in the direction you had hoped, it might be time to consider a business coach’s help. They can identify the possible reasons and guide you on how to overcome these hurdles.
Ongoing Cash Flow Problems: Struggling with cash flow can be a frustrating and stressful experience for any business owner. If this issue seems never-ending, a business coach could be your solution. They can help revamp your financial strategies and provide a smoother cash flow process. A coach can help with tools to forecast problems before they happen.
High Employee Turnover: If you notice that employees keep leaving your company, it’s important to think about what might be causing this. A business coach can help you figure out ways to make things better. They can help you create systems that make employees want to stay and feel happier at work. This means they can help improve teamwork, loyalty, and how people feel about their job. Sometimes, it’s hard to fix employee turnover on your own. It can be helpful to have someone from outside come in and give their opinion. A business coach can offer advice and suggest good ways to hire new employees.
Work-life Balance Troubles: Has your dedication to your business taken over your entire life? It’s essential to have a healthy work-life balance. A business coach can assist you in implementing strategies and systems that allow you to maintain stability between work and personal life. It’s hard to see a line between your work and your life when you own a business. As the owner, you personal life affects your business life. Your business life affects you personal life.
A coach can help you see balance and keep balance.
I hope you’ve found a little guidance. Even permission. To have the help of a coach. Even if it’s for a short time. If you decide to get some help, It’d be an honor to talk with you to see if I would be a fit for you.
